IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
================================================
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS :
==============================================================
Error message :
"UNABLE TO LOCATE TEMP DIRECTORY" or
"Unable to Create File Buffer"
==============================================================
Reason:
Invalid Temp Directory
Solution:
Make sure that you have at least 5 MB of free disk space
before you run Great Gourmet.
Make sure that you have a TEMP environment variable set in
your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. It should look something like
this:
SET TEMP=C:\TEMP
Once you have established that the TEMP variable is being
set, you must make sure the TEMP directory exists. If it
does not exist, then create the directory by typing:
MD C:\TEMP
Note that if you add the SET TEMP=C:\TEMP line to your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file, you must REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER before the
change will take effect.
==============================================================
Error message:
"Permission Denied" or "COULD NOT LOCK FILE SHARE.EXE" In
Windows 3.1
==============================================================
Reason:
Share was not properly configured or is missing on your system
Solution:
Add the following line to the beginning of your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
C:\DOS\SHARE /L:500 /F:5100
Note that you must REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER before the change
will take effect.
==============================================================
Creating Your Own Cookbook files:
==============================================================
You can create as many cookbooks as you
want; however you can only open one
cookbook at a time.
The RESOURCE folder in the program directory contains two
empty cookbook files that you rename and fill
with recipes.
The first file, NEW_INGS.OTM is an empty
cookbook which contains several thousand
ingredients so you can easily enter your own
ingredients. The second file, NEW.OTM is a
completely empty cookbook that does not contain
ingredients.
To create a new cookbook:
1. Copy the file NEW_INGS.OTM (or NEW.OTM)
from the RESOURCE directory to the
location you want on your hard disk. We
recommend you create a new directory and name it
MYCOOKBK.
*** Note: be sure you copy these files from your
Hard Drive and NOT the CD-ROM. The files you
copy from the CD are Read Only, and you won't be
able to save your recipes to it un
